MolluTinc Water Wart treatment

Molluscum Contagiosum (or water warts) is a very common skin condition that mostly affects young children, although adults can get them too. Itchy and irritating, they are caused by a virus and are incredibly contagious. They can clear up by themselves within 6-18 months, or you can use MolluTinc to get rid of them within 4-6 weeks.

How do you know it’s water warts?

Water warts are very easy to spot, although they might be mistaken for eczema at first glance. The infection usually starts with a small number of raised, pearl-like spots on the skin. The warts are known to have a little dimple in the middle. Although they can spread all over the body, most commonly they start in small groups in the armpits, behind the knees, and around the groin.

How to prevent the virus from spreading

If you or your child has molluscum, first make sure the virus doesn’t spread. This means that flannels, towels, and bed linen can’t be shared within the household or even stored close to each other. More annoying still, infected children cannot share their toys with other children. The virus is also transferable from direct skin contact, which means that contact sports such as rugby are out of the question as well. And as an infected adult, it means that you shouldn’t have any sexual contact without taking precautions. Finally, the virus is prone to autoinoculation or self-infection, meaning that if you have the virus and you scratch your skin elsewhere, warts can spread to that area.

Why use MolluTinc

If you wait for water warts to clear up by themselves, you might be waiting for a very long time. Naturally, the virus usually clears up anywhere between 6 and 18 months but in some cases, it’s taken years to completely disappear. MolluTinc promises to make a difference within days of applying. It contains 10% Potassium Hydroxide, which when applied to the skin dissolves the upper keratin layer so the virus can be fought properly. Within 2-10 days of using the product, water warts turn red and you can stop treating them. In another 1 to 5 weeks warts will have disappeared.
